The Oneness University in India
The Oneness University was established in 1996 by co-founders Sri Bhagavan and his wife, Sri Amma. According to Bhagavan it was created, "To set man totally and unconditionally free, bringing about the Golden Age of Enlightenment ... This University exists to help you become enlightened; to help you become a real human-being." People from all over the world can come to the Oneness University to awaken to their own selves and return to their original state of Oneness.
The Oneness University is located approximately 80km northwest of Chennai, India and each month it hosts hundreds of people from around the world.
The two main courses that the Oneness University hosts are the 21-Day Process, which prepares people to give the Oneness Experience to other, and the 10-day Deepening Process, for those who have already taken the 21-Day Process.
The university has hosted thousands of attendees from all the major continents and numerous countries including USA, Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America, Africa, Europe including UK, Italy, France, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Israel, Russia, China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and many others countries.
Goal of the Oneness University
The goal of Sri Amma and Sri Bhagavan is to bring about and sustain a transition in human consciousness. They are the inspiration, power and the wisdom behind the Oneness University, founded to create individuals who would live in a natural awakened state. They maintain that a global shift in consciousness is possible when many individuals awaken to themselves, to others, to the world and to the divine. Such people would become philosopher-teachers capable of awakening others.
The University does not propagate any particular belief, dogma, religion, faith or teaching. The underlying concept behind every one of its activities is the thought of Sri Bhagavan and Amma that says, "Truth however profound, when it is not yours still remains untruth." Accordingly the university aims to put every individual in touch with the truth of his faith via the medium of a personal experience.
